ABOUT US
Mark Stewart Cassidy, Spirit Specialist in Scotch & world whisky, GIN and bourbon & rye whiskey. He served thousands of customers with their purchases from 2002 - 2019 at The Whisky Shop / William Glen & Sons - located in downtown San Francisco. Mark exclusively conducted tastings for Scotch Whisky Events around The Greater Bay Area for over 15yrs and is now available for your events.
From Dunblane, Scotland, Mark is a Scottish Historian from the University of Glasgow. He is well-traveled on Scotland’s Whisky Trail, its remote corners and UNESCO World Heritage sites. He is clearly defined by his insatiable thirst of history - the timeline of man, music, art and, yes …Scotch and world whiskies, GIN and American bourbon / rye whiskies!
Mark conducts tastings and creates customized tours of the boutique distilleries in the area. He continues to provide orations on the life, times and poetry of Robert Burns in addition to “parlour readings” on the historic ties between the Puget Sound and Scotland! A formidable researcher, creative writer and artist, Mark has a specialty niche writing introductions to art books, art shows, web sites and magazines for artists worldwide. He's been published in Baseline Typographics Magazine - Issue 58 - in a piece titled “Stone Cairns” and published in Hasselblad Magazine, in four languages worldwide. Scotch Whisky Events and Mark were featured in the Bay Area section of the NY Times for a whisky tasting conducted at Omnivore Books in San Francisco and Mark was quoted in the July / August 2016 issue of Market Watch / Page 28.

Victoria will be your contact from your initial inquiry, through the reservation process and present at your event. Victoria brings to Scotch Whisky Events an extensive background in corporate and social event production and catering, having produced events for 2 to 5,000 guests. Victoria ensures that every event need is accommodated for and your expectations are exceeded. One of her areas of specialty is her contribution to the industry pairing food to Scotch and world whiskies, GIN and domestic bourbon & rye whiskey. She will also work with your caterer or restaurant to create the perfect menu to compliment your flight. Victoria is also quite knowledgeable about whisky and takes part in the educational dialog at tastings.
Victoria personally trains our professional staff as each plays a critical and exacting role by taking part in the educational dialog and presenting the spirit at just the right time - critical to the tasting experience!
